Observers' Viewpoint

The best part of being an observer is that after less than an hour with an Associate we’ve usually  identified two or three areas where they could improve their driving, making the experience enjoyable and satisfying for both of us

It is very satisfying to take someone on their first run and then to see them again on run 5 or 6.  You immediately notice see how they have progressed to a smooth, unhurried driving style, making good use of the road and making good progress. You know that they are a far better and safer driver than before they started the course. Their passengers will notice the difference as well. One person told me that their friends liked travelling with them as they felt safe. What more can you say!

Having passed the IAM test some 35 years ago, I have found that being an observer has helped me to keep my driving up to standard at the same time as passing on my experience to other drivers

Everyone who signs up for an advanced driving course with us has passed the first hurdle by acknowledging they can learn a bit more about being a really good driver. (PW)

Make time to sort out those bad habits and discover that driving can still be fun!  Give your passengers a smooth, confident drive with your 'new found' skills

Be wise. Think ahead. Think for the others on the road. Avoid trouble. Get Skill for Life

The best bit about being an observer is seeing the penny drop when an Associate "gets it"
